Volunteers are an integral part of the success of our foundation, and we honor their commitment to our mission. This year we are thrilled to highlight two amazing individuals that have given their time, talents, and support to Go Jen Go.

Our 2025 Grantee Volunteer of the Year award recipient is Rhonda Holmes, a breast cancer thriver, Go Jen Go grantee, and longtime supporter of our foundation. If you are at any of our events, you most likely have met Rhonda. She believes in our mission, volunteers to work our Go Jen Go table, and is at our grantee events ready to help support breast cancer patients who are recently diagnosed. She always has a smile and is always rocking the sparkles and bling.

We are truly honored to have Rhonda as part of our Go Jen Go family and are grateful for all the ways she gives back to help share our mission and support others in the breast cancer community.

Rhonda shared, “It meant so much to me to receive the volunteer award because for one it was so unexpected and then to know that someone sees and recognizes your work and worth is amazing. I volunteer with Go Jen Go because they are doing such great work in the breast cancer community and have been there for me during some challenging times.  I absolutely love to give back by volunteering my time and being connected to a meaningful organization.”

Our 2025 Volunteer of the Year award recipient is Kelly Steele, a longtime supporter of our foundation. Kelly is someone you can count on from start to finish. She shined as our 24 Hours of Booty team captain, was lead volunteer at our Day of Hope grantee event, and always helps to find volunteers through her network and through CREW Charlotte.”

We are thrilled that Kelly bet on herself this year, and started her own architecture firm, STEELE Architecture. We are grateful for Kelly’s support of our mission and for her commitment to serving our community in so many ways.

Kelly shared, “This award is such an unexpected and meaningful honor. I first learned about Go Jen Go years ago when I met Susan Evren, their incredible executive director. The passion and love she carried for this work stayed with me, and I felt drawn to get involved almost immediately.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the joy in difficult moments, relief, and genuine support this team brings to its grantees. Every time I volunteer, it brightens my day and reminds me why their work matters so much. Volunteering with Go Jen Go has become one of the most grounding and inspiring parts of my life, and I’m proud to contribute in even this small way to a mission that makes such a real, human difference.”

We are truly grateful for these two amazing women who help share our mission, support our grantees, and carry Jen’s legacy proudly.
