The 13th Annual Run Jen Run 5K & Festival was a day full of sunshine, connection, hope, support, and joy. We are grateful for the amazing community of sponsors, partners, donors, runners, walkers, and volunteers that helped make this year’s race such a success.

Thoughts from Title Sponsor – Consolidated Planning

“It was an honor to sponsor and be part of such an incredible event. Seeing the community come together to support breast cancer fighters, survivors, and thrivers was truly inspiring.

CP is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a cause that makes such a meaningful impact on local families. It was wonderful to see so many participants enjoying the day, and we’re thrilled that the event was such a success.”

Celebrating our Grantees, Survivors, and Thrivers

We enjoyed spending time with many of our grantees and other survivors and thrivers in our Survivor and Thriver Corner. They were able to connect with one another, feel empowered, and see so many come together to support the breast cancer community. Several grantees shared what the day meant to them:

“It was my very first time, but I love that survivors and thrivers were celebrated, it was our race!! I truly enjoyed this event, it was empowering, it was important for me to do this, it’s another milestone in my journey. It was nice to see the support given to each other and words of encouragement to continue as we were all walking together, because it was a goal and an accomplishment for many of us that day!” ~ Atalia, Go Jen Go Grantee, Breast Cancer Survivor

“I loved the fellowship, and celebrating survivors, thrivers, and Go Jen Go. Meeting other thrivers who have been going through this battle longer than I have- such an inspiration and gave me a lot of hope.” ~Sandy Ann, Go Jen Go Grantee, Breast Cancer Thriver

“Being part of Run Jen Run meant victory and community to me. I loved everything about the race, music and all the people.” ~ Tenesha, Go Jen Go Grantee, Breast Cancer Survivor

“It’s a precious moment for me annually. It’s so nice to celebrate my survivorship, see others celebrate theirs, and see the huge amount of support we have in our community. My favorite part this year was my daughter attending and walking the race with me.” ~ Erin, Go Jen Go Grantee, Breast Cancer Survivor

Thoughts from a Volunteer

“I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to volunteer for Run Jen Run again this year. This year I got to hear from so many Go Jen Go recipients just how much your organization means to them. There were so many survivors that stopped by the merchandise tent and said, “I need to give back to Go Jen Go for what they have given to me”. It was so inspiring and special. Thank you again for allowing me to help with this great event.”
