Mood Williams Camp Scholarship Fund

This fund supports the children of our grantees by offering scholarships to provide camp and other activity-oriented programming, so they still have a chance to smile, laugh, and find joy during a difficult time.

Established in 2023, this fund was created in memory of our beloved friend, Mood Williams, who was a long-time supporter, one of our biggest cheerleaders, and part of the Go Jen Go family. After our co-founder, Jen Pagani’s passing, Mood always focused on how her sons were doing. He knew it was a formative time in their lives and the impact their mom fighting and passing away from breast cancer had on their childhood and future.

The Need

  • 5 million children — that’s one in every 15 who are coping with a parent’s cancer diagnosis in the United States.
  • Research shows a cancer diagnosis has a significant impact on a household and highlights the need for support to help children cope with the drastic changes they may face.
  • Socialization and play are crucial for young people’s normal brain and body development. Having dedicated time for fun helps them feel “normal” and not different from their peers.*

“The outcomes and impacts on these young people’s lives, as well as the joy it gives their parents during challenging times, would hit the mark with my dad. He loved the Pagani family and often thought about Jen’s sons. To know he can give a meaningful impact on the mission of Go Jen Go is such an honor for my family and me.”
